Deputies saved him: Dritan Abazović remains Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro

At the extraordinary session, the deputies of the Parliament of Montenegro did not support the agenda within which the dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović was to be considered.
Out of 76 deputies, 46 abstained, 19 “for” and 11 “against”. The chairman stated that the proposed agenda did not receive the required majority and concluded the first extraordinary session.
The second session is expected tomorrow, at which the initiative of Abazović’s URA movement and a part of the opposition deputies for a vote of no confidence in the Government will be discussed.
There are two items on the agenda – the initiative of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić for the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Abazović and the proposal to elect the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare Milojko Spajić for that position.
The proposal to dismiss Abazović was made by Prime Minister Krivokapić after the URA, with the support of opposition MPs, submitted an initiative of no confidence in the Government.
